This ambitious and forward-thinking independent school, in Hampshire, are looking for an Executive Assistant to provide secretarial and administrative support to their Headmaster and senior leadership team.

Responsibilities of the Executive Assistant will include;

  • Providing a warm and professional welcome to all callers and visitors, such as; parents, governors, students and the general public. Ensuring they are directed to the appropriate person.
  • Taking ownership of dealing with all correspondence to the Headmaster, managing of the diary and confidential filing.
  • Liaising with HR regarding confidential documents for personnel matters.
  • Briefing and supporting the Headmaster with meetings/presentations and taking minutes as required.
  • Supporting with the preparations of school events and produce the term calendar
  • Managing all of the Headmasters special events/presentations and co-ordinating the hospitality for these events.

The Executive Assistant should have the following experience, qualifications and personal attributes;

  • A Degree and 2 A Levels (or equivalent) – Desirable
  • Have a calm nature, with an ability to diffuse potential difficult situations.
  • Be able to work to deadlines, which may mean being flexible with working hours.
  • Have excellent organisation skills.
  • Have a passion for the role and to work well as a team, showing integrity and enthusiasm in day-to-day tasks.
  • Have a commitment to providing a safe environment for the children, with the ability to diverse with a wide range of individuals.
  • Have good verbal and written English and communications skills.
  • Secretarial skills; typing & word processing, competent in Microsoft Office 365.
