Our client is a very successful firm of Chartered Accountants and Tax Advisers, who are looking for a Semi Senior to join their friendly but busy tax department.

Working closely with the accounts team and reporting to the tax partner, key areas of responsibility within this Tax role will be to manage their own portfolio of corporate clients, delivering a high level of client service and producing work in an efficient and effective manner.  The role will be to provide full corporate tax compliance and advisory service tailored to the circumstances of each client.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of corporate tax computations and returns (IRIS Business Tax)
  • Dealing with iXBRL of accounts
  • Filing Corporate Tax Returns
  • Advising on tax payments, including quarterly installments
  • Liaising with HM Revenue and Customs on behalf of clients
  • Responding to client queries
  • Involvement in ad hoc project work
  • Maintaining regular client contact
  • Training and supervising junior staff
  • Advising on capital allowances, R&D claims, group relief, and loss relief

  • Previous work experience gained in a corporate tax environment, preferably in practice.
  • A well-developed sense of client service
  • A Well-presented and articulate, with good attention to detail
  • Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio
  • A proactive and pragmatic approach
  • Good communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Numerate and strong work ethic
