At Avantus Recruit, we aim to support local charities. The halow project are a young, vibrant and growing organisation based in Guildford that support young people with learning disabilities. They are passionate that the people they support have the right to expect the same life experiences and chances as any other young person, they are extremely committed to making this a reality.

 

The young people halow work with want the opportunity to:

halow believe that the young people they support have the right to be part of and respected in their communities and are entitled to a life they choose in ways which best suit them. halow is committed to developing creative opportunities and removing social barriers.

halow relies on its team of volunteers who build relationships with the young people they support, engaging them in a wide range of activitieshalow treat their volunteers with the utmost respect as they are an extension of the team employed by halow and play a critical role in their success and future.

 

halow categorise their volunteering needs in four ways:

 

Social Activity Volunteers

Helping with the many events and activities organised for halow's young people

 

Project Volunteers

Assiting with educational initiatives such as A Reason To Get Up and Building Futures

 

Community Event Volunteers

Helping with raising awareness and fundraising in a variety of ways

 

Office & Admin Volunteers

Helping out in the halow office with their friendly team

 

You can volunteer for just a few hours a month or for a regular slothalow will aim to match your time and skills to the best volunteering opportunities - halow's young people enjoy meeting volunteers from all walks of life.
